Nigerian gospel sensation, Mercy Chinwo, has marked a new significant milestone in her illustrious career as she recently surpassed 1 million subscribers on YouTube, highlighting her position as a leading figure in the gospel music industry.

In the past year since she joined Africa’s leading music services company M.A.D Solutions, Mercy Chinwo has achieved remarkable success, especially with her two recent projects, “Elevated” and “Overwhelming Victory.” The “Elevated” EP became the first project by a Nigerian female gospel artist to surpass 100 million streams within just 10 months, earning critical acclaim and being listed among the top-listened albums of 2023 by major DSPs like Audiomack and Boomplay. The EP’s lead single, “You Do This One,” topped the YouTube charts and inspired over 340,000 video creations on TikTok.

Mercy Chinwo’s influence is further recognized as she was ranked among the top female artists of 2023 on platforms such as Boomplay, Spotify, and Audiomack. Notably, she was the No 1 most-streamed female artist on Spotify in Nigeria and the No 2 most-streamed female artist on Boomplay worldwide.

The album’s success was highlighted by a collaboration with YouTube for a livestream concert, attracting over 14,000 viewers globally, and by widespread playlist placements on DSPs worldwide.
